Choosing a Word Search Book for Women

Look beyond the cover

Compare the actual grid size, letter size and word-list size. A cover saying large print does not tell you whether the answer pages are equally large. Download a sample and print it at actual size before choosing.

Choose an interest, not a stereotype

A recipient might prefer coastal walks, gardening, travel or food. Gender alone does not tell you what someone enjoys. Read a contents list and look for several themes you know she will recognise.

Check the practical details

A large book is comfortable on a table but may be awkward in a small handbag. Check the paperback dimensions and whether a pencil can reach the inner edge comfortably. A complete solution section helps keep the activity relaxed.

Our first collection

Our forthcoming British collection contains 100 themes and twelve words per puzzle. The grids use 18-point letters; word lists use 15-point type and solutions use 12-point letters. Try the free sampler to judge whether this format suits you.

Try a few pages for yourself

Our free British sampler includes ten puzzles and their answers. Explore the first full collection for its page and type specifications.
